Is there a need to pray?
There definitely is a great need to pray!!! Not just for ourselves but for each and everyone of us. We all need love, peace, patience, compassion, mercy, forgiveness and understanding. And we don't have those qualities all at one time, but we need them all the time. We search for these qualities from those who are closest to us; our spouses, children, parents, friends, relatives, and so on. But are these qualities always there? Are they present in ourselves? Are we able to give them all these?
We need to pray to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ to ask for these qualities that we all are seeking. We ask first of all, that we may have these qualities, then we ask that all our brethren also seek these characteristics.I was asked the question, 'If I died, and Jesus Christ asked me "What did you do on earth that would merit you Eternal Life?"'. Well, I know that I'm going to start by praying to Jesus, and ask Him to help me do His holy will so I can give Him an answer that will merit me Eternal Life.
